Trust & safety
Trust here is built from evidence: who you are trading with, what is in the trays, and what happens when something is wrong. This page explains each layer and publishes the numbers behind it.

Live counts from the platform, refreshed every minute. A dash means there is nothing to count yet; we do not invent numbers.
Account verification levels
Every member, buyer or seller, is a verified business. The level is shown on the seller's trust card; the buyer sees the seller's legal name and address after payment.
L0Registered
Email and phone verified.
Can: Browse and watch lots.
L1Verified
Business details, EIN last four, a business licence or resale certificate, automated checks (domain, website, phone region, bot signals) and terms accepted. Approved by staff, usually the same business day.
Can: Register to bid, and list lots with a seller plan.
L2Verified + bank
A bank account on file through instant verification and one completed protected deal.
Can: Bid on auctions with a reserve at or above $10,000 and list under your business name.
L3Inspected seller or Market Maker
Three or more consigned lots with a count variance of 2% or less, or a Market Maker agreement.
Can: Exempt from bidding deposits. Badge on every listing.
Strikes are issued for payment default, late shipping beyond grace and confirmed misrepresentation; 3 strikes in 12 months ends the account, and banned organisations cannot re-register. ITAD Authority trades as an ordinary house account that cannot bid on its own lots.
Lot verification tiers
The tier is the badge on every lot card and a filter in search. Buyers price the tiers; we only make sure each one means what it says.
Photos
The photo rule is met and a reviewer looked at the photos.
The seller photographed at least 10% of the pieces (minimum 5 photos) with legible labels and a reviewer looked at them.
AI-checked
An automated check read the labels and counted modules across the photos; the claim matched what was seen.
Our automated check read the labels, counted modules across the photos and compared the result with the seller's claim. Warnings were resolved by staff before approval.
Inspected
Counted and graded piece by piece on our bench. The inspection report is attached.
Consigned to our bench, counted and graded piece by piece. The inspection report is attached to the lot.
How disputes are decided
Open
The buyer opens a dispute from the order within the 3-business-day confirmation window with a reason, photos and the received count. A short count on confirmation opens one automatically. Release of funds pauses.
Respond
The seller has 2 business days to respond with their evidence: the count sheet, packing photo, test report and tracking.
Inspect, if asked
Either party can request a bench inspection. The lot ships to the bench on a platform label; the report is binding; the $250 fee is charged to the losing party.
Decide
Staff recommend and an admin decides within 5 business days: release in full, refund in full (goods return on a platform label at the losing party's cost), or a split by amount. Decisions are written in plain language and visible to both sides.
Dispute statistics are public per member and in aggregate above. The process is governed by the Protected payment terms.
See something wrong?
Every lot page has a report link. Reports go to staff before any auction continues. For anything else, contact us and a person answers.
