What Memory Traders is
A business-to-business auction marketplace for one thing: used server memory, sold by the tray.
Verified sellers list trays of DDR3, DDR4 and DDR5 with mandatory label photos. Verified buyers bid in timed auctions with proxy bidding and a soft close. The winning buyer pays the platform, the seller ships on a label we issue, and the money releases when the buyer confirms the count or 3 business days pass after delivery.
The company behind it is the company that owns ITAD Authority, an IT asset disposition business that has pulled, counted, graded and sold server memory for years. Memory Traders is that bench turned into a marketplace: the grading scale, the photo rule, the dispute process and the price index are the way the bench already worked, written down and applied to every seller equally.
We serve ITAD companies, recyclers, refurbishers, brokers, managed service providers and data-centre operators in the United States and Canada. We do not sell to consumers.
How we make money
Two lines, both published, neither hidden in the hammer price.
Sellers pay a plan of $249 a month for unlimited lots, free for the first 14 days, and a protected-payment fee on each sale of 1.5%, capped at $750. The fee schedule in force when an auction closes is copied onto the order and never changes afterwards.
Buyers pay the hammer price plus shipping at cost, and nothing else. Bank payment is free; a card can be used for smaller orders with card processing added.
Consignment and bench services are priced per tray on the pricing page. We do not sell data, run advertising or take a spread on payments. The price index is free, with a widget for other sites and a CSV for members.
The rules we hold ourselves to
Written down so you can check them, and enforced by the database rather than by goodwill.
The house cannot bid on its own lots
ITAD Authority trades from an ordinary member account. The database refuses its bids on house lots, and staff accounts cannot trade at all.
No early data, no private prices
The house sees the price index when you do. Its floor offers are published prices, the same for every seller.
Inspected counts are ours
A lot counted on our bench is our claim. A short count on an Inspected lot is settled against our report, at our cost.
Disputes are decided in writing
Fixed windows, evidence from both sides, a decision within 5 business days of the last evidence, visible to both sides. The money stays with the platform until then.
Buyer money is never ours to use
Funds held under protected payment are a liability on our books from the day they arrive to the day they release. Platform payouts to ourselves never touch them.
We count, we do not estimate
The transparency report and every public counter are counts of real rows. Where there is nothing to count yet, the page says so.
The full rules are in the Terms, the Auction terms and the Protected payment terms. How they play out is counted on the transparency report.

Questions people ask
Is Memory Traders a separate company from ITAD Authority?
Memory Traders is a DBA of the company that owns ITAD Authority: one legal entity, one set of books. ITAD Authority trades on the platform as an ordinary house account with no privileges.
How does the platform make money?
From the seller plan ($249 a month) and a protected-payment fee on each sale (1.5%, capped at $750). Buyers pay nothing beyond the hammer price and shipping. We do not sell data, run ads or take a spread on payments.
Where is the money while a deal is open?
With the platform, under the protected payment terms, from the moment the buyer pays until the buyer confirms the count or 3 business days pass after delivery. The seller never holds it before shipping; we never hold it after confirmation.
Why should I trust a new marketplace?
Because the rules are published and checkable: who can trade, how lots are verified, how the money moves, how disputes are decided, and a transparency report that counts real rows. Where we have nothing to count yet, the page says so.
