Put the index on your site
Two minutes and one paste: a small live table of this week’s medians on your own site, refreshed from the index, with a credit line back to it.
- Refresh
- Every 5 minutes
- Cached at the edge; the index itself rolls up weekly
- Scope
- Your choice
- All generations, one generation, or one module size

What your visitors see
Rendered here from the same data the snippet fetches. Style it to match your site; the credit line stays.
The index has not published its first week yet, so the widget renders an empty table with the credit line. It fills the Monday after the first week with enough released deals.
The snippet
Paste it where the table should appear. It fetches the JSON and writes a plain table into the div.
<div id="mt-index"></div>
<script>
fetch("https://www.memorytraders.com/api/price-index/widget").then(r => r.json()).then(d => {
const rows = d.rows.map(r => '<tr><td>' + r.family + ' ' + r.form_factor + ' ' + r.capacity_gb + ' GB</td><td>$' + r.median_usd_per_gb.toFixed(2) + '/GB</td></tr>').join('');
document.getElementById('mt-index').innerHTML = '<table>' + rows + '</table>' +
'<p><a href="' + d.source + '">' + d.attribution + '</a>, week of ' + d.period_start + '</p>';
});
</script>To show one generation or one module size, add ?family=ddr4 or ?family=ddr4&capacity=32 to the URL inside the snippet. The div’s id is mt-index; style its table with your own CSS.
The JSON endpoint
For your own rendering: the same data, CORS open, no key.
https://www.memorytraders.com/api/price-index/widget- period_start
- The Monday of the published ISO week, or null before the first week.
- rows[]
- One per generation, module type and capacity: median, P25 and P75 in USD per GB, modules, deals and the change against the prior week in percent.
- scope
- The family and capacity you asked for, so a cached response is self-describing.
- source, attribution, licence
- The page to link to, the credit line, and the licence string.
Licence and attribution
Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0.
Use the widget and the data freely on a non-commercial page as long as the credit “Memory Traders price index” and its link stay visible next to the figures. For a commercial product, a paid tool or redistribution, email us; we say yes to most uses that keep the attribution.
Why we publish it
A price index is only worth quoting if people quote it.
The index is built from deals on this site, and it is useful to sellers setting a reserve and buyers checking an offer only if it is the reference the trade uses. Putting it on your site, with the credit, is what makes it that reference. The figures you show are the figures we show; nothing is held back.
Questions people ask
What does the widget show?
This week’s published medians for the scope you choose: all generations, one generation, or one generation and module size. Each row carries the median, P25, P75, modules sold, deal count and the change against the prior week.
How often does it refresh?
The endpoint is cached for five minutes and the index itself rolls up weekly, so a page that embeds it is never more than a few minutes behind the site.
Can I style it to match my site?
Yes. The snippet writes a plain table into a div with the id mt-index; style it with your own CSS. The only requirement is the attribution line with a link, which the snippet includes.
Can I use it on a commercial site?
The licence is CC BY-NC 4.0: free for non-commercial use with attribution. For a commercial product, a paid tool or a redistribution, email us; we say yes to most uses that keep the attribution.
